About Us
Ronnie D’s was established in 1991 as a locally owned and operated family restaurant, however it was actually 20 years earlier that the legacy began. Ron and Betty Derogatis moved their young family to Colville in 1971 and began nine successful years of owning and operating the A&W Drive In. The business began as a “Root Beer Stand” with only a walk up service window and carhops and was only operated nine months out of the year. The dining area was not added in until 1973.
The Derogatis family sold the A&W in 1979, and from then until 1991 the business went through a couple of different owners and name changes. In 1991 Ron and Betty re-purchased the building and brainstormed for a 50’s sounding name, hence “Ronnie D’s” after Ron Derogatis. Along with their daughter and son-in-law, Kevin and Lanette Morgan, the business was re-established as a cook-to-order family restaurant. The Morgans have owned the business since 1996, and offer a large variety of menu items to suit every taste.
